HI All,
I hope you had a Merry Christmas and are having a wonderful New Year. My New Year started with a new job and new course to study so I have become pretty time poor this year. However, that has not stopped me starting a new book called 'Goddess' by Fiona MacIntosh and coming close to finishing my Renaissance bookmark (pictures to come). I have finished the gold colour and have almost completed the cornflower blue. Next step is the detail. It includes some gold filament work and some daisy flower embroidery - can't wait should be fun! My next project after that is to start my Lavender and Lace Angel design called Guardian Angel. I have all the materials now - I will be stitching on Willow Green linen - it's a very light grassy green colour which I hope will contrast well with the teal greens and Burgandy reds of the Angel.

In other news, the Moo has really taken to walking now. She is 14mths old and starting to walk in preference to crawling which is really exciting. The Roo is in his last year at child care - next year it's school! Man... time goes by so quickly...I now it's cliche but, there it is.

I look forward this to contributing more to this web site and building it up with more pictures and news on the stiching front.

Bye :)

Moo and the Roo

These are my kids the Roo and the Moo! Photos of my cross stitch to come...stay tuned!

Maddy (the moo) has had lots of trouble with her ears lately - reoccurring otitis media or middle ear infections. It causes her lots of grief and I can't wait until we can get in to see the specialist so hopefully we can get it fixed!?!

Need some sleep!!

What wonders kids are, my daling 11 mth old refuses to go to sleep by her self and so last night I was up 'til all hours trying to get her off to sleep. Her brother decided it was a good idea also to tell stories in his sleep. Although I found his story about the dragon he wanted to wash quite interesting I think I would have valued the sleep more.

I am coming along with my bookmark I am making for my sister for Christmas. Pictures will come shortly when I fix my computers technical issues! My son proudly presented to me today a paper snowflake he made. Pride quickly turned to something less cheerful when I discovered it was my pattern and he had used my thread scissors!
Today is beautiful and sunny and just staring to warm up nicely. The orchards have finished blooming and the vineyards are bright green. Hmmm....I think I'll go rustle up a coffee....

The Beginning !

Hmmm...What to write about...I am interested in so many things. I think that's my problem! I don't know where to start and have issues finishing! The Moo and the Roo are my first passion, they are my two darling children Madeleine and Andrew. I also love cross-stitches! It drives old mate nuts but hey, it's my thing. I also love reading I am really into science fiction fantasy and this comes through with my cross-stitches of choice. I like a bit of biography and crime/mystery every now and then as well!
